We set the tone for this dessert shower with these adorable custom made invitations made by my friend over at The Ink Junkie. I intentionally only took a picture of half of the invitation to leave off some info that the other hostesses may not want published on the blog, but the other half is equally as cute!
Since this was Samantha's fifth and final bridal shower, we decided to do something different to celebrate my soon to be sister in law. This shower was fun to plan, easy to prepare, and got raving reviews.
Got a sweet tooth? You will after you see what was served at Samantha's Sweet Shop!
Publix provided the cookies.
Homemade fudge pie!
Lemon bars on my favorite "dress me up" stand. Just trade out the ribbon for whatever season or celebration you are serving something up for.
Chocolate dipped strawberries were displayed on my mini cupcake stand.
Sara Lee was not a hostess, but she did come through with these cream puffs and mini chocolate éclairs.
Tasty Pastry did a good job matching the cupcakes with the invitations.
To wash down the sweets, we served pomegranate champagne spritzers. I had a last minute idea to add candied fruit slices to the rims of the cups. They turned out perfect!
The shower was the day before Easter, so I added the chicks to the gumdrop topiaries. When I transported the topiaries, the car ride got the best of them. I had to perform "surgery" on them when I got to the shower. They survived....barely!
Jelly bean candles were the perfect decoration.
Random Tip: when the wax melts and becomes one with the jelly beans, place the whole container in the freezer for 5 minutes. Everything will pop right out for easy clean up!
