I don't know about you, but I love coffee on a rainy afternoon. It's comforting.
This rainy afternoon, I got a flashback of early morning, weekend, and late night study sessions at the bookstores and coffee bars in town (anyone remember Aristotle's Coffee Garage?). My standard cup of caffeine came in the way of a mocha, with whipped cream, please!
With a quick raid of the refrigerator, I found exactly what I needed for this rainy day mocha delight.
How to make a mocha:
*Add cocoa powder to the coffee grinds before brewing (I used one teaspoon of cocoa powder for 6 cups of coffee)
*Make the coffee to your likings with cream and sugar
*Add whipped cream and chocolate syrup
And if teaching doesn't work out, I guess I could try the whole Starbucks thing.........
My brain is still going bananas from the monkey party. While searching for banana recipes, I saved about a dozen recipes to my recipe box on one of my favorite websites, www.bettycrocker.com. I'm a total Betty wanna-be!
Got rotten bananas? Make banana bars. You will love them a "bunch"!
Rainy day delights!
