Beware of these easy Halloween ghost goodies. They are both spooky and simple all at the same time. With these two recipes, you are sure to scare up a good appetite!
This spooky sandwich is made by adding a thin layer of your favorite sandwich topping(s) and cutting out a ghost shape with a cookie cutter. Spread softened cream cheese on the outer layer and place two black olive slices on top. I usually go for tuna salad or egg salad, but choose what you please. Take this ghost from scary to sweet by making it with peanut butter and jelly and replace the cream cheese with marshmallow fluff and brown M&M eyes.
The next ghost goody has been around for awhile. It's a White Chocolate - Nutter Butter Ghost Cookie, that usually just resembles a white chocolate covered peanut, without the paranormal part. I decided to 'nibble' my way to a much more manicured ghost cookie. Details below!
Start by melting 12 ounces of white chocolate baking bars. You will need miniature chocolate chips and Nutter Butter cookies. Now would be a good time to check for anyone who may be 'haunted' with peanut allergies!
Now for the nibbling part. If you are making them for you and your family to enjoy, take a bite off the bottom of the cookie to make it look more like a ghost. If you are giving the ghost goodies away, break off the bottom with your fingers. Remember - you're being watched!
Give the ghosts a dunk in the melted chocolate then place them on wax paper and add mini chocolate chips on the cookies to make a face. Let cool.
You look as if you've seen a ghost?!
