To celebrate the upcoming arrival of a dear friend's baby, two of my best friends and I hosted a baby shower plastered with polka dots and pennant flags. We started with the invitations and planned the polka dots and pennant theme party to match.
The invitations were designed by theinkjunkie.com. A mini pennant banner hangs above for decoration.
Karen, of Fabrics and Fonts, created the fabulous fabric decor items for the shower. She's also responsible for a frugal find with our table cloth, shown below.
A pennant clothesline was created for guests to bring a baby item to hang on it. (burp cloths, onesies, hats, dresses, socks) Not only is this a cute decoration, but it provides extra goodies for the guest of honor!
Pennant flags were waving in the yard to welcome our guests.
Pennant flag tooth picks were made for the finger food. I'm loving these flags and all of the festive ideas of things I can do with them, that are flowing at my fingertips!
Perfect Pasta Pennant Flag Picks -
*small grape tomatoes
* miniature ravioli (ravioletti) that has been marinaded in Italian dressing
* small whole black olives
* small cubes of cheese (for balance and stability)
Pennant flags were added to the flowers to make for awesome blossoms!
I just stumbled upon a new cake maker in my neighborhood. She makes cakes that look like this. Sweet. I'll be flagging her down for more cakes in the future!
Raise your flag for a perfect polka dot and pennant themed baby shower!
