The first creation comes from my obsession with Immaculate Baking Company's prepared cookie dough. When you combine the dough with a mini muffin pan, perfection follows. It's no secret that I love creating these cookie cups to match each season or celebration that rolls my way.
So my first Christmas creation is...
Chocolate Candy Cane Cookie CupsIngredients:
One package of sugar cookie dough (pull apart kind) I use Immaculate Baking Cookie Dough
One cup of chocolate chips
One tub of prepared chocolate frosting
½ teaspoon of peppermint extract
Ten candy canes, crushed into small pieces
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pull apart the sugar cookie dough and place each one in a mini muffin tin. Bake for ten minutes. Remove from oven and use the end of a wooden spoon dipped in water then sugar, to press down in the dough to make a hole in the middle. Let Cool. Melt the chocolate chips by microwaving them for thirty second intervals, stirring until melted. Dip the rims of the cooled cookie cups into the chocolate and immediately into the crushed candy canes. Add the peppermint extract to the chocolate frosting and stir. Place the peppermint frosting in a Ziploc bag and squeeze it into a corner with no air remaining in the bag. Cut a small piece of the bag off in the corner and pipe the frosting into the cookie cups. Or use a star tip and a piping bag. Enjoy!
These cookies are pure peppermint perfection!
